
Ora Leland Arganbright, 74, Cordell, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017. He was born on November 10, 1942, to Ora Rueban and Edna Mae (Eaton) Arganbright in Geary, Oklahoma. Leland grew up, attended, and graduated school at Lake Valley. He married Betty Burns on October 21, 1961, at Lake Valley, and later made their home in Cordell, Oklahoma. In Leland's early years he farmed and worked for Cliff Delk. He worked for Sewell Brothers for 40 years, he also drove a rock truck for Jennings. Leland is survived by wife, Betty (Burns) Arganbright of Cordell, Oklahoma; one daughter, Michele Louise McKee and husband, Justin of Hobart, Oklahoma; two significant nieces, Karland Trentham and husband, Todd of Jarrell, Texas and Kimberly Bagley and husband, Cliff of Little Elm, Texas; one significant nephew, Cody Morris and Meg Highley of Fort Smith, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Brandon Lester, Cory Arganbright, Casy Arganbright, and Dalton Lester; and two sisters, Wanda McDaugale of Cordell, Oklahoma, and Rosie Smith of Agra, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Michael Dale Arganbright; three sisters, Betty Bradstreet, Luella Bolinger, and Iva Dell Basket and two brothers, Oran Arganbright and Bill Arganbright. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church, Gotebo, Oklahoma. Interment followed at Lawnview Cemetery, Cordell, Oklahoma. Services were under the direction of Ray and Martha’s Funeral Home.
