Joyce Lee Carroll went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 23, 2017, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers.
She was born on December 15, 1929, in Gotebo, Oklahoma, to Lee and Rena Barton.
Joyce married the love of her life, Glen Carroll, on August 22, 1945.
Throughout her life she served the Lord and faithfully served in the many roles of being a pastor's wife. Her special love was teaching little children about Jesus.
She was a loving and caring mother to her three children and worked outside the home to help support her family. Many of those years were spent working in the catalog department at JCPenney. She always had a smile and hug for everyone.
She delighted in pampering her grandchildren. All of whom remember grandma's candy drawer and the special treat of breakfast with grandma: Pepsi and Honey Buns.
Joyce is survived by her three children, Glenda (Dan) Glenn; David (Peggy) Carroll; and Philip (Linda) Carroll; eight grandchildren, Leesa, Susan, Jennifer, Kevin, Brad, Stefanie, Chad, and Leann; and thirteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Floella Rickey; and four brothers, Vereal, Rogers, Winston, and Nuben Barton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Rena Barton; husband, Glen Carroll; grandson, James Lee Glenn; a sister, Lavinia Griffith; and one brother, Edsel Barton.
Funeral Services were held at 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, September 24, 2017, at Calvary Baptist Church Cordell, under the direction of Kiehn-Varner Funeral Home of Cordell.
