
Dorothy Anna Opitz Collier, age 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on December 25, 2017, in Cordell, Oklahoma, at the Cordell Christian Home. She was born June 28, 1929, south of Hinton, Oklahoma, on the Opitz Farm. She was preceded in death by her father Rudolf Opitz, her mother Dora Constien Opitz, two brothers, Alfred and George Opitz, and her husband of 28 years, Al Collier. Her survivors include her son, Lester Max Worsham and his wife Karen of Cresent Oklahoma, two daughters, Virginia Lee Robison and her husband Stanley of Rocky Oklahoma and Sandra Kay Pignotti and her husband Mike of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Two sisters, Agnes Stehr of Clinton, Oklahoma and Eunice Hunter, Abilene, Texas. One brother, Edwin Opitz and his wife Sue, Hinton, Oklahoma. She also had eight Grandchildren, Amanda (Robison) Brashears and her husband Shane, Katey (Robison) Holt and her husband Colten, Donald Pignotti and his wife Laura, Anna (Pignotti) LaForest and her husband Adam, Brian Worsham and his wife Joslyn, Shane Worsham and his wife Ashley, Chad Worsham and his wife Leticia, and Eric Worsham. 15 Great Grandchildren, are Meghan, McKenna, Colby, Rory, Hunter, Abby, Sawyer, Jude, Lennon, Emeline, and Jacob Worsham, Hunter and Barrett Brashears, Haylee Holt, Cora Pignotti, Nate LaForest, and many nephews and niece. Dorothy worked many years at Hinton Oklahoma, raising her three children before marrying Al Collier and moving to Altus, Oklahoma. She worked for years at Will Rogers Elementary public school in the cafeteria before retiring. Dorothy loved working outside in the yard growing her beautiful flowers and garden produce with joy, always sharing it with friends and family. When you didn’t find Dorothy outside she loved baking her famous cinnamon rolls and pies. Family was the love of her life and she enjoyed moving to Rocky, Oklahoma, and living closer to loved ones. Funeral Services for Dorothy were scheduled for Thursday, December 28, 2017, 2:00 P.M. at People’s Funeral Home Chapel, 1400 W. Main Lone Wolf, OK 580-846-9018, with nephew Calvin Opitz officiating. Interment followed at Altus City Cemetery. Viewing was Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at People’s Funeral Home.
