Gregory Scot Sawatzky, 55, of Clinton, Oklahoma passed away at Grace Living Center with family by his side on July 19, 2018. He was born on September 5th, 1962 in Denver, Colorado to Weldon & Joyce (Reeg) Sawatzky. He grew up and attended school in Clinton, Oklahoma graduating in 1981. After high school Greg worked for the Clinton Public School System, did carpentry work and then worked at the Clinton Veterans Center for over 20 years. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include: Parents: Weldon Sawatzky & wife Joyce of Clinton, OK; Brother: Alan Sawatzky & wife Cathy of League City, TX; Sister: Sharon Vanallen & husband Craig of Sharon Springs, KS; 2 Nieces: Tina Sawatzky of League City, TX; Allison Sawatzky of League City, TX; 2 Nephews: Trey Vanallen of Sharon Springs, KS; Joshua Vanallen of Sharon Springs, KS; Numerous nieces, cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by: Grandparents: Otto & Marie Sawatzky and Pastor Orville & Martha Reeg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peace Lutheran Church Visitation was held July 21 & 22, 2018 at Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home in Cordell The funeral service was 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 23, 2018 at Peace Lutheran Church in Bessie, Oklahoma with interment Peace Lutheran Cemetery. The service was under the direction of Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home of Cordell.
