Anastacio (Pete) Reyes Flores, age 83, of Cordell, Oklahoma went to be with our Heavenly Father on August 10th, 2018 while being surrounded by his family. Pete (Pepa) was born to Guillermo and Francisca Flores on April 15, 1935. He married Artimia (Tina) Garcia on January 1st, 1956 in La Feria, Texas and they soon began a family together. Pete farmed for several years before starting his own construction company in the mid-70’s, Pete Flores and Sons Construction. Among his many accomplishments, renovating the Route 66 Museum in Clinton, Oklahoma was one of his greatest work-related achievements. He was a perfectionist and was well know for his work ethic around the community. He was known by his family and friends as having a heart of gold, loving his grand and great grandchildren, loving animals, swimming, bike rides, eating sweets & watermelon, drinking coffee, going to the horse races with his children and his grandchildren, and always cracking jokes. Most of all he loved his wife very much. He enjoyed grabbing a Coca-Cola and taking her, the love of his life, for long rides in the country on Sunday afternoons. He is survived by his loving wife Artimia (Tina) of the home, and his 8 children, Sylvia Spain of Weatherford, OK, Susie Brown and husband JR of Mustang, OK, Cindy Rumsey of Cordell, OK, Rey Flores of Cordell, OK, Jhonny Flores and long time friend Joe Villegas of Tulsa, OK, Danny Flores and wife Paige of Tulsa, OK, Mike Flores of Tulsa, OK, and Pete Flores of Mountain View, OK.
