SEdward Johnson, formerly of Canute, OK, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the North Park Nursing and Rehabilitaion Center in McKinney, Texas at the age of 74. He was born on November 4, 1943 to Etris Johnson, Sr. and Elva (Finley) Johnson in Alhambra, California. He graduated from high school in Canute in 1961 and then Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, TX in 1972 with a degree in Theology. Edward proudly served his country in the army for three years just prior to the Vietnam conflict, and was a missionary to Africa, the Philippines & Costa Rica, from 2008-2012. He was a member of the Denison- Sherman Seventh-day Adventist Church of Denison, Texas. Edward is survived by his wife Jan Johnson of the home in Gober, Texas; Two sons, Charles Johnson and wife Kim of Ionia, Michigan, Daryl Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK. Two daughters, Sandra Johnson of Crawford, CO, and Janelle Lawson of Edmond, OK; Jason Owens and wife Renee of North Richland Hills, Texas; One brother, Ertis Johnson Jr. and wife Marilyn of Elk City, OK; Two sisters, Nancy Hicks and Linda Adami of Chipley, Florida; Six grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ertis and Elva Johnson; brother Eldon Johnson, and grandson Keith Gillogly. Memorial services were held Sunday September, second at 2:00 p.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Elk City, OK
