Bill O. Price, a retired Beechcraft Raytheon manager, passed away January 24, 2016, at his Augusta home after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Gotebo, Oklahoma, on September 30, 1933. Bill grew up on farms of parents Orville and Jewell Price in Cloud Chief, Oklahoma. After graduation from Cloud Chief he attended Oklahoma University on a baseball scholarship. At OU he chose to enlist in R.O.T.C. and after graduation he served as an officer in the Army. Upon discharge he took employment with Boeing in Wichita. This was followed by other aerospace corporations, Thiokol, Douglas, Litton, and finally Beechcraft. In 1962, he married Carolyn Cash in Augusta, who survives as does his two sons, David Cash (Deborah) of Yukon, Oklahoma, and John (Kristine) of Augusta. He was always an avid OU fan and enjoyed playing golf. In retirement he enjoyed reading western books and trading books with new friends. His first love was his grandchildren, Josiah, Justin, and Jarret of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Luke, Sarah, Samuel, and Maria Jane of Augusta. Other survivors include nephew, Jeff (Barbara) Price; and nieces, Nancy (Kent) Hartman, Lisa (Brad) Bowman and Karen (Harold) Fickett. He was preceded in death by his brother Bob Price. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., at Headley Funeral Chapel. Services will be Thursday, January 28, 2016, 11:00 a.m., at the First Baptist Church, Augusta. Burial will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta. Memorials can be sent to the Augusta Country Club and Augusta Meals on Wheels.
