76, of Burns Flat

Donney P. Sullins, 76, of Burns Flat, Oklahoma passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Feb. 3, 2019, at Grace Living Center in Clinton. He was born Feb. 17, 1942 to Walter F. and Jean (Mills) in Pecos, Texas.

Donney grew up and attended school at Port and graduated from Port High School in 1960. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1961, during his service he was a Tank Commander, 2nd Squad-1st Calvary (E8), and served in Vietnam.

Donney attended Phillips Junior College in Augusta, Ga., and after retiring from the United States Army he went to work in Korea for the Red Cross.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his son Shawn Sullins and wife Kelly of Spring Lake, Mich.; grandchildren Winona Sullins and Keezik Stalzer; two sisters: Judy Musick & husband Jimmie of Sentinel and Dana Ellis and husband Rick of Burns Flat; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends; special caretakers, Amanda Rush; and neighbors, Jerry & Linda Seglem.

He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Jean Sullins and brother Jack Sullins.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at First Baptist Church of Sentinel, Oklahoma with interment to follow at South Burns Cemetery in Dill City.
