
his disability stop him, he bucked hay, built fence, and helped his dad farm. He loved to hunt and to be outside. In Jackie’s spare time he started his own taxidermy business and spent countless hours doing custom mounts.
Jackie married the love of his life, Tana Strutton, Nov. 29, 1985, in Cordell.
Jackie was the Dispatcher for the Cordell Fire Department for 22 years. In 2016 he transferred to the city office as the safety coordinator and customer service representative. Everyone love to be greeted with his smile and friendly hello.
Jackie was preceded in death by his mother June Hymer.
Jackie is survived by Tana Strutton Fletcher; son Keegan Hymer and wife Nicholette Lauzon of Albany, NY; daughters Kira and Dakota Ogle of Mustang; Ashton Hymer and Dustin Elizondo of Corn; Georgia and Garret Lawson of Bessie; five grandchildren: Kaedan Mosier, Ruger Elizondo, Gatlin Lawson, Alexander Hymer and Knox Ogle, who were the light of his life; his father Lonnie Hymer of Cordell; brother Jerry and wife Nan Hymer of Edmond; sisters Sandy and husband Don Bartlett of Cordell and Kathy Oliver of Cordell; brother-in-law Jimmy and Shon Oliver of Oklahoma City; several nieces and nephews; and a host of dear family and friends that will miss him dearly.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, at the First Baptist Church of Cordell. Services were under the direction of Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home of Cordell.
