Chad Alan Adams was born on April 14, 1977, to John Paul Adams and Cheryl McAllister Adams in Clinton. Chad graduated from Burns Flat High School in 1995. Chad was active in football, track, and weight lifting but, his real love was his high school agriculture class. He was an active member of FFA and enjoyed showing pigs at local stock shows. He often accompanied Mr. Bill Mandrell, vo-ag instructor, on trips and meetings.
He was baptized and confirmed at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. Chad was a wonderful man with an amazing heart. He was known by all to be kind, helpful and cheerful. If a friend or a family member needed help Chad would be the first to answer the call.
After graduating high school, Chad went to work in the oil field. Weatherford Oil Field Services offered him a position on a test rig in Houston, Texas. Being a quick learner, Chad soon became a valuable asset to his company.
After working for Weatherford for several years, an opportunity arose with Knight Oil Field Service. After success with Knight and now well known for his expertise in the industry, Chad ventured out on his own and became a consultant to several companies. Chad was in demand in several states and even found himself being called to consult abroad in Sicily. Although the foreign services was a new adventure he longed for the good old USA. The longing was somewhat satisfied when he came upon a McDonald’s. He quickly downed a “Big Mac” and requested one for the road. The last five years he established a trucking business in Pennsylvania and was able to purchase his dream home in Boerne, Texas.
Chad loved to go for the “ride” as he was a big Harley fan. At one time he had three black Harleys and loved to ride in the Texas Hill Country. Chad and his dad had a great time when they rode to Sturgis, S.D., and also when his brother Shawn rode to Ruidoso, N.M. Chad loved to ride with numerous friends no matter the destination.
Chad departed this earth on May 3, 2020. He is survived by his parents; his brother Shawn Adams and wife Stephanie; twp nephews, Colt and Sage Adams; niece Morgan Adams; son Garret Adams; special friend Christy Slavinsky and daughter Aerica; and a host of family and friends to numerous to mention. We will all miss him.
