Darryl Kent Walters 59, of Cordell
Darryl Kent Walters, 59, of Cordell, passed away from cancer on August 5, 2020, at his home in Cordell. He was born on August 12,1960, to Sherman and Iva Mae (Evans) Walters, Jr. in Clinton. Darryl grew up and attended school in Cordell. He was a truck driver for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Sherman and Iva Mae Walters and a brother Terry Ray Walters.
On Jan. 15, 1989, he married Gail Burkeen and from that union they had four children: Chad, Curtis, Christopher, and Lisa.
Survivors include his children; grandchildren Madilyn and Callen; his sisters and brother, Debra K. Walters, Shelley Walters, Sherman Lee Walters, Donald B. Walters; his best friend, Pitbull Molly; and nephews Lance, Travis and Blake Walters.
A graveside service was held at 2:00p.m., Friday, Aug. 7, 2020, at Lawnview Cemetery in Cordell.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Russell Murray Hospice in Weatherford or to Pancreatic Cancer Research.
