Perry Von Humphreys passed away of a heart attack recently at his home in Jones, OK.
Perry was the son of Elmer and Pauline Humphreys, born on April 16, 1958, in Hobart, OK.
After graduation from Sentinel High School in 1976, Perry began working in the Oklahoma City area in logistics and warehousing as a forklift driver. Perry distinguished himself as a safety-conscious worker.
In his spare time, Perry played as a lead guitarist and singer in local bands, including the popular band U-N-I. In his material handling responsibilities and as a musician, Perry was known as quiet, kind, and helpful.
After his retirement, Perry utilized his inherited handyman skills by helping his neighbors.
Perry was preceded in death by his parents.
Perry is survived by his brother Michael and sister-in-law, Judy, of Ketchum, OK. As well, he is survived by nieces, Tracey Crocker (Richard) of Jackson, MS; Sherri Waldrop (Robert) of Cordell, OK; Tamara Christian (Paul) of Weatherford, OK; and Jessica Humphreys-Beaver (Brandon) of Guthrie, OK.
Survivors also include numerous grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
The family is planning a memorial service at a time and place to be announced later.
