Janice E. (Jan) Friesen

Janice E. “Jan” Friesen, 70, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Reflection Ridge.

She was born April 10, 1952 in Clinton, Oklahoma, the daughter of Menno J. and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Heinrichs.

Jan graduated from Corn Bible Academy in Corn, Oklahoma with the class of 1970.

She later graduated from Tabor College in Hillsboro with a bachelor’s degree.

She worked as an accountant and Chief Financial Officer.

Jan worked for The Cedars in McPherson, Mennonite Manor in Hutchinson, and Newton Home Care & Hospice.

Jan was united in marriage to Loren Friesen. From this union, they had three daughters, Nicole, Kerry Lynn and Chantal. They later divorced.

She volunteered her time as a Divorce-Care Leader at Central Community Church in Wichita.

Jan is survived by her two daughters, Nicole Friesen of Wichita and Chantal Friesen of Wichita; and brother, Norman Dale Heinrichs of Corn, OK.

She was preceded in death by parents; and daughter, Kerry Lynn Friesen.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Zoar Cemetery, rural Inman, Kansas.

Memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m.,

Wednesday at Ridgepoint Church, 8000 W 21st St N, Wichita, Kansas 67205.

Family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, at Ridgepoint Church.
