It began in the back of Jerry’s garage and a year later they had a building in Elk City to call home.

In 1985, Jerry purchased the old Burns Flat post office across from the High School and moved L&S Equipment from Elk City to Burns Flat.

When the oilfield industry would slow down, Jerry would innovate to make ends meet by doing HVAC work and eventually in 1994 began Burns Flat Hardware which became a handy fixture in the community until the day of his passing.
