Vincenzo Marino was born July 30, 1937, to Joseph and Lucia Russo Marino.

Vincenzo Marino (Jimmy) came to the States at the age of 8 and worked most of his life doing masonry with Pat, Mike, Jon and Vic O’Hagan.

He also owned a pizza restaurant.

Later in life he would remodel houses for Nancy McKinnon, Linda Chilton, and Mrs. M. Auddell.

Jimmy never met a stranger, he always had a huge heart, and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for anybody.

His family moved to Nicoma Park in 1972, where he lived on N.E. 23rd Street until 2008.

He then moved to Choctaw, and in 2013 his daughter Lori Marino brought him from the nursing home to live with her in her home in Cordell. He continued to live with her until his death.

Lori Marino fought tooth and nail to get Jimmy out of the nursing home into her home. That’s what he wanted and that’s what he exactly got, and Jimmy went on to live four more years.

He enjoyed the good times at the casino with his grandson Brock and his daughter Lori.

He enjoyed having money in his pocket, but it burned a hole in his pocket until he could spend it on scratchers or pushing that button at the casino.

COVID hit a few years later which made it hard to take Jimmy anywhere, but that didn’t stop him from enjoying life. He had one sweet housekeeper (Sabrina V. H.) who became family. She would take him fishing, she would take him over to her mother’s house to eat, they would play cards, go “dancing”, laugh and have a good ‘ole time every time she came around.

Lori’s Dad (Papa Bear) also had a favorite housekeeper (Jill A.) and he enjoyed her company and her cooking.

Jimmy’s daughter Lori spoiled her daddy. Since she was a child she always felt her Daddy hung the moon himself, and she was and always will be a Daddy’s girl.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Lucia Marino, and siblings Rosaria, Mary, Helen, and Concetto.

Jimmy is survived by his daughter Lori Marino of the home, daughter Luci Stafford and her husband Gary, daughter Lisa Marino and special family friends Jon, Vic, Pat & Mike O’Hagan, Moe Lachance & Muriel Forest and their children Gary, Paul, Roland, & Peter, the Denice Whitebead family, and Carol Vice.

He is also survived by grandchildren Vincent Marino, Samantha Marino, Dewey Glider, Laura & James Folk, Amy Stafford & Mark Dallas, Ronnie Stafford, Tamara & Alonzo Robinson Sr., Brock Wisdom & Katie Gideon, Brandi Marino & Keegan Durnin, Kourtni & Eric Berryman, and Tyra & Tyler Kay.
