Funeral services for Robert Allen Tripp 67 year old Carnegie resident will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in The Chapel of Lockstone Funeral Home with Bro. Berry Rutherford, Bro. Leonard Holman and Bro. Aaron Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Lone Star Cemetery at Rocky, under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.
Robert Allen Tripp was born August 30, 1954, in Indio, California to Ernest Lyle and Heidie Ann (Klaeger) Tripp and passed away Friday, July 22, 2022, at his home in Carnegie.
Robert was raised and attended school in California. After graduating high school, he attended college where he studied to be a horticulturist.
He enlisted in the US Army with the Armored Tank Division and was stationed in Germany. During his service he was wounded by a tank round inside of the tank.
On June 28, 1981, Robert married Vonda June Holman in Las Vegas, Nevada and made their home in Canute.
Robert was a carpenter for many years—working alongside his wife building and remodeling houses.
He traveled extensively and would gather orchids that he continued to raise for years.
Robert was devoted to his children and grandchildren. He never missed a game or any event for any of his kids or grandchildren.
He had a passion for animals and would never turn away a stray. and all of God’s creatures.
Robert was dedicated to serving God and was bold in his faith— sharing God’s Word with everyone he came across.
He wanted everyone to have the same peace he had, so he shared the Word of God with the world and helped out as many people as he could along the way.
Robert is survived by his wife of 41 years, Vonda Tripp of their home in Carnegie; three sons, Bailey Tripp of Carnegie, Stewart Tripp of Weatherford and Ryan Tripp; two daughters, Brittany Glover and husband, Richard of Carnegie and Danah Kliewer and husband, Joshua of Corn; eight grandchildren, Riley, Josiah, Braxtin, Madelyn, Gracie, Eli, Logan, Ethan, Genevievie and one on the way; one sister, Margaret Louise Tripp; and three brothers, David Lyle Tripp, Gerald Edward Tripp and Steve Root Tripp.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ernest Lyle Tripp, Jr. and Michael Keven Tripp.
