Don W. McManaman passed away on January 19, 2023 at his home in Hinton at the age of 85. Don was born on September 27, 1937 in Dill City, OK to Orval and Loretta (Riggins) Mc-Manaman. Don attended Oklahoma State University where he also was a member of ROTC. After serving a tour of duty in the Army, Don returned to OSU to study for a Master’s Degree in Soil Chemistry. He accepted the position of Manager of the Soil Testing Laboratory at Texas A&M where he finished his Master’s Degree. Don married his
high school sweetheart, Yvonne Simpson, on August 30, 1957.
He worked in the corporate field of agriculture for several years, then started his own farm and chemical business in Friona, TX.
He loved farming, gardening, walking, and spending time with his family and church family.
Don is survived by his wife, Yvonne of Hinton, OK, son Mike and his wife, Kris, daughter Cristy and husband Joel, son Curtis and his wife Lynnette, son Clay and his wife Tamie, and daughter Amy and husband Todd Harris, sister Jolene Wood, brother Rick McManaman and wife Debbie. Grandchildren: Korie Shaw and husband Rob, Kaci Slaughter and husband Bryan, Deven McManaman, Kyle Walker and wife Katie, Tyler Mc-Manaman, Charis Kobza and husband Chris, Kelsy Keiser and husband Chad, Zachary McManaman and wife Abigail, Dustin Felton, MaKenzie Dewberry Seth Stevens, Salem Stevens, Chase McManaman and wife Nicoly, Cole McManaman and wife Tori, Lauren Harris, and Logan Harris. Great Grandchildren: Erika, Austin, McKayla, Riley, Kinsley, Kade, Kyla Von, Ryder, Declan, Eleanor, Addilyn, Lilian, Kassidy, Hudson, Mallory, Forest, Cecilia, Avery, Steele, Ford, and Colter. as well as many other relatives and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Orval and Loretta McManaman.
