Barbara Kay Fry

Barbara Kay Fry, 79, of Fremont, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at the Bellevue Hospital. She was born February 19, 1937, in Cordell, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ferdinand and Norma Opal (Woodward) Pankratz. Barbara was a graduate of Cordell High School in Oklahoma. She formerly was an active member of the Eastern Star, and a lifetime auxiliary member of both the Eagles and Moose. She is survived by her two sons, Ron (Wendy) Fry of Fremont, and James (Jacqueline) Fry of Bellevue; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Pankratz of Kansas City, Missouri. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Ammon “Red” Fry whom she married on November 13, 1955, in Idaho; a daughter, Patricia Carter; and brothers, David Pankratz and Wallace Pankratz. Funeral services were held on Monday, July 18, 2016, at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy., Clyde. Burial followed at Greenlawn Memory Gardens. Memorials can be made to the donor’s favorite charity
