
Reta May (Wrather) Wagner passed away Friday, December 2, 2016, at South Hillcrest Hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Reta was born in Elk City, Oklahoma, on February 2, 1946, to Wayne Eugene Wrather and Bonita Faye (Taliaferro) Wrather.
She married Robert “Bob” Wagner on July 21, 1963. Bob and Reta raised their three children in Piedmont, Oklahoma.
After living in California, Hawaii, Florida, Washington D.C., and finally Bermuda, Bob and Reta retired and worked a small ranch in Gore, Oklahoma.
Reta worked as a secretary in the early years of their marriage and later was a homemaker.
After the kids left for college, Reta enjoyed working as a florist.
She enjoyed her family, friends, reading, flowers, and crafts. While the kids were in 4-H, Reta was very busy as a 4-H leader, and helping the kids with their projects and animals.
Reta is survived by her husband, Bob Wagner of Gore, Oklahoma; a daughter, Ruth Ann and Bill Stringer of Owasso, Oklahoma; two sons, Robert and Janet Wagner of Wylie, Texas, and Ron and Nicky Wagner of Canyon Country, California; eight grandchildren, Cooper, Colton and Connor Ward all of Owasso, Oklahoma, Ashton and Criston Wagner both of Wylie, Texas, and Ryan, Miranda and Dakota Wagner all of Canyon Country, California; a brother, Eddy and Jeanie Wrather of Canute, Oklahoma; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at the Martin-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel, 600 W. Country Club, Elk City, Oklahoma, Saturday, December 17, 2016, at 1:00 p.m.
Interment will be at Canute Cemetery, Canute, Oklahoma. The family would like to visit with family and friends at the Canute Heritage Hall following the interment services.
