Funeral services for Van Kenneth Nabb, III, known to all as “Trey”, will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the Soper Gymnasium in Soper, Oklahoma; burial will follow at the Lewis Cemetery in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Trey went to be with his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 20, 2017, in Plano, TX at the age of 20. Trey was born on October 21, 1996, in Amarillo, Texas, the son of Van Kenneth Nabb, Jr. and Sheba Renee (Davis) Parker. Trey enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything in the outdoors, including a love for animals. He loved spending time with friends, visiting his grandpa, Sam, in Wynnewood, and eagerly calling upon the knowledge of all his grandfathers often. He truly was what many will remember him as: “an old soul”. He would stay up reading late into the night, and he might even call a person up, just to share a joke. He cherished his books and movies, and one could always count on Trey for random facts and knowledge. He was a member of Archey Baptist Church in Soper, Oklahoma; throughout his life, he was known for his sincere respect for everyone he met, his strong work ethic, and the joy he brought to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Mary Kindzerski, and his cousins, Curtis Gunter & Eric Cook. Trey is survived by his father, Van Nabb, Jr. and fiancée, Amanda Lubbers, of Yukon, Oklahoma; his mother, Sheba Parker and husband, Chris, of Soper, Oklahoma; his sister, Keeley Nabb of Soper, Oklahoma; his step-brothers, Nathan Lubbers and Tyler Lubbers of Yukon, Oklahoma; his step-sister, Acasha Lubbers of Midwest City, Oklahoma; his grandparents, Betty Taylor of Amarillo, Texas, Royce and Sandy Davis of Glenwood, Arkansas, Sam and Ronda Doty of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Jinnie and Dale Utech of Scobey, Montana, Cheryl Parker of Moyers, Oklahoma, and Van and Jane Nabb of Madisonville, Kentucky; his dogs, Kash and Pig; a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins, as well as many other family and friends. Family will receive friends Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills and Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo, Oklahoma. Family and friends are invited to sign the guest book or send private condolences to the family at www.praterlampton.com.
