lMemorial Service for “Claude” Watkins, 74, Cordell resident was be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 30, 2017 in the First Baptist Church of Cordell, officiated by Pastor R.B. Mathis and Pastor Terrell Ronberg. Burial Followed at a later date in the Lawnview Cemetery in Cordell under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Kelsie Claude Watkins was born July 21, 1943 in Mooreland Oklahoma and passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in the Corn Heritage Village in Corn, Oklahoma. Claude was raised in the Fort Supply, Oklahoma area and graduated from Fort Supply High School in 1961. He lived in Clinton before marrying Janice Schmidt on September 29, 1983 in Cordell. They have made Cordell their home. He was employed with A & R Freight Line as well as farming. He retired in 2014. He was a member of Cordell’s First Baptist Church and his hobbies were his work and spending his time K e l s i e Claude Watkins farming. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dean Watkins and three sisters, Viola Matt, Ruby Hinze and Opal Selvey. He is survived by his wife, Janice of the home, son, Darren Watkins and his wife, Shelly, of Woodward, Oklahoma and two step sons, Dewayne Nabors, of Cordell, Oklahoma and Randy Nabors and his wife, Cheri, of Cordell, Oklahoma. He is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
