Daniel A. “Danny” Lee

Daniel A. “Danny” Lee, 73, of Cordell, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully with family by his side on August 21, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Danny was born on January 20, 1945 to Audrey Daniel and Lillian Beatrice (Watson) Lee in Pharoah, Oklahoma. He grew up and attended school in Clinton, Oklahoma. After high school he enlisted in the Army National Guard. He married the love of his life, Carol Dawson, on July 5, 1968 in Clinton, Oklahoma. To this union was born two sons, Daniel Russell Lee and Ryan Dirk Lee. Danny enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and had a true love of country music. He owned and operated Danny Lee Signs and worked in outdoor advertising for over 43 years. Danny loved his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife Carol Lee of the home. Sons: Daniel Russell Lee & Amy Beaty of Arapaho, Oklahoma, Ryan Dirk Lee & wife Ashley of Bessie, grandchildren: Ryan Lee of Oklahoma City, OK, Kolten Lee of Bessie, Faith Clingenpeel & husband Matt of Woodward, Oklahoma, Cassie Lee of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Hope Lee of Mooreland, Oklahoma, Braxton Lee of Bessie, two great grandchildren: Zaylen and Coraline Clingenpeel, three sisters: Johnnie Cosper & husband Frank of Mabank, Texas, Charlotte Boucher & husband Leo of Leicester, Massachusetts, Ida Hays of Jacksonville, Florida; Brother- in-law, Larry Dawson and wife Tina of Wickliffe, Ohio; Sister-in-law, Patsy Hileman and husband Gary of Cordell, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Jeremy Shields, three sisters, Margaret Anna Lee, Evelyn Cornell, and Bettie Palmer. Visitation was held Saturday, August 25, 2018 and Sunday, August 26, 2018. Memorial Service was held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home, Cordell, Oklahoma.
