Ann Coogan, age 76, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018, at Idabel. She was born on Sept. 13, 1942, in Sentinel, the daughter of Buel and Mamie Howard Kerley.
Ann was the bank loan officer. She worked many years at area banks including Idabel National Bank, American State Bank, and First State Bank. Ann was a longtime member of the Idabel Country Club and enjoyed golfing with her husband and friends. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and lived in Idabel for over 40 years.
Ann attended Dill City schools throughout her 12 years of schooling. She was on the basketball team and sang in a girls’ trio.
She loved coming back for her class and school reunions and loved keeping up with her classmates who remain close even years after graduation.
Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and she will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Jimmy Kerley and Terry Kerley; and sister Elwanda Neeley.
Survivors include two sisters, Declores Maddox and Juaneace Knight of Cordell.
