Roger “Karl” Jackson found peace with his Lord on April 11, 2019. He was born in Rocky to Roger B. and Susu Pauline Jackson Nov. 7, 1943.

After graduation from Rocky High School, Karl attended Oklahoma City University. Soon after graduation he went to work at Tinker Air Force Base where he worked with NATO’s Aircraft Program. After retiring, Karl’s joys included spending family time with his parents, sister Paula and her family, food and fun with friends and cheering on his beloved OU Sooners. Later, “Rumbling” for the Thunder became quite a passion for Karl.

He loved his travels as well; Saudi Arabia, Australia, New Zealand, New Orleans. He had friends everywhere. Karl has a network of friends he loves dearly and who were so at ease at his home. “Sweet, sweet man” and “kindest man I ever knew,” and “never met a stranger.” Karl was always there to lend a hand in any way he could.

Karl is survived by his niece Jonna Lynne Cassil and husband Ken of Oklahoma City; his nephew Paul “Marc” Goode, Jr. and wife Rachel of Seattle, Wash.; namesake grandnephew Christopher Jackson Cassil and grandnephew Robert A. Manchester, IV.

Many, many close friends will remember what a wonderful person Karl is.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday April 15, 2019, at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service with family present from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Father Mark Mason will preside during stateroom service at 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 15. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2019, Lonestar Cemetery in Rocky. Please join us for a celebration of Karl’s life at his home following the interment.
