
Ruemelle D. Ball, 96, of Rocky, Oklahoma, passed away March 31, 2016, in Hobart, Oklahoma. She was born on October 15, 1919, in Rocky, Oklahoma, to John Dillon and Ethel Mae (Devin) Dietrich. Ruemelle was a devout member of the Rocky Methodist Church. Her mother, Ethel, was instrumental in starting the church and was a founding member. She graduated from Rocky High School in 1937. She married Lloyd Murl Ball on August 14, 1937. He preceded her in death in 2010. Ruemelle worked for the post office in Rocky and Sentinel as Post Master before retiring after 25 years. She is survived by her sons, Larry Murl Ball and wife Dorita, Cordell, Oklahoma, and Bradley Lloyd Ball, Rocky, Oklahoma; daughter, Lynne Marie Morris, Hobart, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Brent Ball and wife Kristy, Cordell, Oklahoma, Blake Ball, Rocky, Oklahoma, Becky Hines and husband Scott, Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, Jeff Morris and Jana, Hobart, Oklahoma, Austin Ball and wife Kayla, Pueblo, Colorado, Justin Ball and wife Sarah, Canute, Oklahoma, and Blain Ball, Sentinel, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Dillon Ball and wife Deidra, Cordell, Oklahoma, Denton Ball and wife Ali, Amarillo, Texas, Dara Steinmetz and husband Garrett, Edmond, Oklahoma, Dalton Ball, Cordell, Oklahoma, Cameron Hines, Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, Kellen Hines, Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, Tyler Morris, Hobart, Oklahoma, Cort Morris, Hobart, Oklahoma, M'Kenzie Smith, Hobart, Oklahoma, Cayden Ball, Pueblo, Colorado, Savannah Ball, Pueblo, Colorado, Aiden Ball, Canute, Oklahoma, Jaiden Ball, Canute, Oklahoma, Alexis Ball, Canute, Oklahoma, and Jaxon Ball, Canute, Oklahoma; and great-great-grandchildren, Brenyn Ball, Blakely Ball, Brylee Ball, Kaydence Ball, and Lillie Steinmetz. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd Murl Ball; four sisters, Anna Mae McKee, Harriett England, Johnie Ranfro, and Bettie Nelson; grandson, Mark Morris; great-grandchild Bellamy Ball; and her son-in-law, Jimmy Morris. Funeral services were held on Monday, April 4, 2016, at Ray and Martha’s Funeral Home Chapel, under the direction of Ray and Martha’s Funeral Home. Burial followed at the Lone Star Cemetery in Rocky, Oklahoma.
