Tim Gene Smith

Tim Gene Smith, 79, of Cordell, Oklahoma passed away on December 7th, 2020 at the Corn Heritage Village in Corn, Oklahoma.

He was born on February 4,1941 to Charlie Leland and Jessie Mae (Perkins) Smith in Cordell, OK. Tim grew up and attended school in

Cordell, at the age of 14 he hitchhiked to California he went through a few odd jobs and ended up at Bill Young’s Used Cars where he got a job as a mechanic. Tim met Velma Glea Widner and they married on March 9, 1963 in Wheeler, TX, they were married for 35 years to this union were born four children: Judy, Russell, Corvin, and Jo-Etta.

He moved back to Oklahoma and made his home in Dill City where he reopened Texaco 66, after working at the 66 awhile he opened Tim Smith’s Auto Repair. Tim was baptized in Crowder Lake on September 15, 2014. He enjoyed working, fishing and playing with his grandchildren, he loved to ride his harley. Tim will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include: Children: Judy Smith of Longview, TX, Russell Smith & wife Tracy Lynn of Dill City, OK, Corvin Smith of Cordell, OK, JoEtta Smith & wife Megan of Cordell, OK Grandchildren: Brittany Nicole, CJ Jr., Dalton Lee, Dillon Lee, Dalton Reece, and Tucker Joe

Great Grandchildren: Oaklee Lynn, Easton Lee and Corvin III

Brother: J.L. Smith of Cordell, OK

Sister: Etta Elizabeth Smith Collarini & husband Charles of Apple Valley, CA

Preceded in death by his Parents: Charlie Leland and Jessie Mae Smith, 4 Brothers: Dewayne Smith, Earl Smith, Roy Smith and Bob Smith.
