
Junior L. Delp, 86, of Foss, Oklahoma, was born on June 15, 1929, in Thomas, Oklahoma. He is the son of Philip and Sidney Mae (Barker) Delp. Junior passed away on Sunday May 22, 2016, at the Elk City Nursing Home in Elk City, Oklahoma. Junior married his best friend and sweetheart Mary Faye Price on November 21, 1952, in Burns Flat, Oklahoma. He served his country in the United States Army. Junior also served as a volunteer firefighter for over 20 years. He was a deacon, an elder, and the treasurer of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Burns Flat, Oklahoma for over 40 years. Junior was on numerous boards in Washita County. Junior is survived by his wife, Mary Faye Delp of the home; three children, Linda Christian and her husband, Steve of Dill City, Oklahoma; Jimmie Delp and his wife Pam of Burns Flat, Oklahoma; and Philip Delp and his wife, Chrissy of Canute, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Stephanie Thurman and her husband, Justin of Mannford, Oklahoma; Jimmie Lee Delp II and his wife, Danelle of Lynxville, Wisconsin; Joel Delp and his wife, Jordan of Dill City, Oklahoma; Ethan Delp and his wife, Amber of Elk City, Oklahoma; and Dillon Delp and his wife, Kenzie of Canute, Oklahoma; six great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Nema Delp of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and a host of family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Sidney Delp; one brother, Billy Ray Delp; and one sister, Mary Mae Dennis and her husband, Bruce. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Burns Flat, Oklahoma. Interment will be at Foss Cemetery in Foss, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
