Max Lynn Stotts

Max Lynn Stotts was born on February 21, 1956, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to John and Shirley (Cox) Stotts. He passed away on May 21, 2016, in Cordell, Oklahoma, at the age of 60. Max lived in California for the majority of his adolescence, graduating from high school at Vanden High School in Fairfield, California, where he excelled at cross country, track and field. Immediately after high school, Max was hired as a Machinist Apprentice at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo, California. In 1990, he relocated to  Bremerton, Washington, where he worked at both Keyport and Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility. Max was very passionate and took great pride in his work; in 2011 he retired after 37 years of service. He enjoyed the great outdoors, camping, music, and spending time with his family. Max loved to ride dirt bikes and ATV’s with Kevin, camping and the annual ocean shore trips with the family. He was preceded in death by his mother in 2004, and his wife, of 36 years, Cynthia Louise Stotts in 2012. Max is survived by his father, John Stotts of Burns Flat, Oklahoma; daughter, Ashley Dority and husband Aaron of Port Orchard, Washington; son, Kevin Stotts of Bermerton, Washington; sisters, Monica Stotts of Burns Flat, Oklahoma, and Mona McKenny and husband Rick of Indiana; brother, Mark Stotts of Burns Flat, Oklahoma; Aunt Mildred Dollar of Marlow, Oklahoma, and Aunt Juanita Johnson of Burns Flat, Oklahoma; and a host of dear family and friends. Services for Max Lynn Stotts will be held Friday, June 3, 2016, at 2:00 p.m., at the Musick-Varner Funeral Home in Cordell. Services are under the direction of Musick-Varner funeral home of Cordell, Oklahoma.
