
Helen was born in Sayre, Oklahoma, to Edith and Frank Treadway on February 3, 1932. She graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School in Elk City.
Helen loved animals growing up, especially kittens. She also enjoyed children and was a great protector of children. Helen also enjoyed cooking, gardening, travel, nature and coffee and cake, along with warm family conversations.
She was a very loving parent and did all she could to help her children. .
Helen married Laverne Frank Schneberger at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Sayre.
They farmed in the Burns Flat area and raised their children there. They attended St. Francis Church and Holy Family Church in Canute.
Later, they attended St. Mathew's Catholic Church in Elk City, before she moved to Yukon.
She graduated LPN school with top honors in Burns Flat, in 1971, and began her career as a nurse working in Clinton.
Helen then moved to Yukon and worked at Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
She later married Merlyn Brown and they had one son, Michael Wayne. After moving to Yukon she attended St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Edith and Frank Treadway; her late husband, Laverne Frank Schneberger; and son, Michael Frank Schneberger.
She is survived by nine children, Martin Schneberger and wife, Cathy of Elk City, Vickey Dudgeon and husband, Terry of Norman, Glen Schneberger and wife, Mary of Weatherford, Larry Schneberger of Elk City, Greg Schneberger and Dianne of Calumet, Toni Brinkley of Norman, Kent Schneberger of Yukon, Brent Schneberger of Dallas, Texas, and Michael Brown of Yukon; brothers, Frank Treadway and Lonnie Treadway; 20 grandchildren, Russell Schneberger, Christina Whitmere, Richard Schneberger, Candra Davis, Sean Dudgeon, Kyle Dudgeon, Stacy Robertson, Rita Ridenour, Josh Schneberger, Kelly Esteves, Abbra Green, Breanna Ballard, Jeremiah Schneberger, Cindy Hightower, Martina Schneberger, Melissa Fong, Andrew Schneberger, Natalie Schneberger, Zachary Brown, Abbey Brown; and 23 greatgrandchildren.
Wake and Rosary services were held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 14, 2016, at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, Oklahoma, with Mass of Christian Burial held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 15, at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, Yukon, Oklahoma. Interment followed at 3:30 p.m., at St. Francis Cemetery, Canute, Oklahoma.
