
Funeral services for Wanda Juathena Findley, 89 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Thursday, October 29, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., at Grace Assembly of God Church with Brother Wes Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Hinton Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home. Wanda was born March 26, 1926, in Payden, Oklahoma, to John William and Jessie (Killman) Powell, and passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Weatherford Regional Hospital. Wanda was raised in the Payden area and attended Prairie Dale Schools. On September 6, 1946, she married Loren Findley in El Reno, Oklahoma, and they made their home in Hinton, Oklahoma. Loren and Wanda were both licensed ordained ministers with the Pentecostal Holiness Church. They pastored churches in Hobart, Clinton, Butler, Hinton, and Brownwood, Texas. She retired in 1969, and moved to Weatherford. Wanda enjoyed her church activities, cooking, and spending time with her family. Memorials may be made to the Grace Assembly Church or Lockstone Funeral Home for her funeral expenses. Wanda is survived by one son, Richard Findley of Weatherford, Oklahoma; three daughters, Wanda Smith and husband, Marvin of Owasso, Oklahoma, Kathy Bellah of Elk City, Oklahoma, and Deanna Kaiser and husband, Rodney of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one sister, Fern Cheetwood of Prague, Oklahoma; two daughters-in-law, Peggy Ashley of Weatherford, Oklahoma, and Barbara Findley of Butler, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; eleven greatgrandchildren; and two greatgreat- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, James; three sisters, Marie, Juanita and Virginia; one son, Leonard; and one grandson, Cory Findley.
