Morris Neal Wilmeth

Morris Neal Wilmeth, 83, died Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the Integris Hospice House following a brief illness. He was born February 3, 1934 in Cordell, Oklahoma to Thurman and Hattie Wilmeth. He was the oldest of four boys. After graduating from Cordell High School, Morris served in the Air Force as a radar technician for 20 years before retiring in 1973. He met and married Barbara Yetman in 1955 while stationed in Newfoundland, Canada. Barbara and Morris had three children. They were stationed in many countries during his Air Force career, including the United States, Canada, Spain, and Turkey. They returned to Western Oklahoma after retiring, where he worked as a Dill City police officer and at the Burns Flat golf course. After Barbara’s death in 2008, Morris moved to Edmond Oklahoma. In 2012 Morris was married to Judy Johnson. Morris and Judy enjoyed reading together, listening to music and spending time with friends and church family. Morris is survived by his wife, Judy; son, Bryan Wilmeth and wife Terri; grandchildren Matt Wilmeth and wife Katia, and Chali Lewis and husband Califf; great grandchildren Garrett, Josiah, Locke, Kirsten, and Kesler; brother Gerald Wilmeth, stepson Eric Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews. Morris was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, wife Barbara and daughter Cheryl; and brothers, Joe and Fred. A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Trinity Christian Church in Edmond at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Integris Hospice House, 13920 Quailbrook Drive, Oklahoma City, OK 73134 or to Trinity Christian Church, 1400 NW 178 St., Edmond, OK 73012.
